Nichols Boat company began its new tow boat
construction operations in November 2006. The company's sole
purpose is to build the best tow boats on the Mississippi River.
The company builds towboats on Harbor Front Road on the banks of
Lake Ferguson. Nichols Boat Company has built a variety of tow
boats, each with its own capabilities and unique history. The first
three boats, as well as Hull 005 and Hull 006 were built for
Magnolia Marine Company, Vicksburg,
Mississippi. They are: Mr. Lampton, Katherine Berrry, Mari
Lampton, Stan Humphries, and Jody McMinn. Our fourth towboat The
James T was built for
Fullen Dock &
Warehouse, Memphis Tennessee. Year 2010 brought a new contract
for Hull 007 with
JanTran, Inc.,
Rosedale, Mississippi.
